Think of this page as the house rules of the lab. They explain how you may use onerepmaxlab.com, what belongs to us, what belongs to you, and where our responsibility stops. Read them once, and you will know exactly where you stand before you start using the calculator and the guides.
Here are the OneRepMaxLab terms & conditions in four short points.
By opening, reading or using any page, tool or guide on onerepmaxlab.com (“the site”), you agree to follow these Terms and Conditions, together with the Privacy Policy and the Disclaimer. If any part of them does not work for you, please stop using the site.
These terms apply to everyone who visits, whether you are reading one article or using the calculator every week.
The site is built for personal, non-commercial use. You are free to:
These permissions are for individuals. They do not cover selling, republishing or building a business on our material.
The written guides, articles, page designs, calculator interface and code, graphics and images created for this site belong to OneRepMaxLab and are protected by copyright.
The one rep max formulas we use, such as Epley, Brzycki, Lander, Lombardi, Mayhew, O’Conner and Wathan, are published mathematical models that anyone may use. What we own is our own explanation of them, the way we present them, and the tool built around them.
If you would like to use our material in a way not covered above, such as quoting at length, adapting content for a course, or featuring the calculator, write to us first through the contact page. A clear request usually gets a clear answer.
The calculator is free, and so is our Wilks Score Calculator; you do not need an account or any payment to use either. They exist to help you plan training with a reasoned estimate.
Their results are mathematical projections, not clinical tests or professional assessments. How reliable they are, and why different formulas give different numbers, is explained in our Disclaimer.
We do our best to keep the tool available, but it may occasionally pause for maintenance, updates or technical problems. We cannot promise it will always be online, and we are not responsible for any inconvenience if it is not.
Some pages may show advertising from third-party networks, which helps keep the tools free. The networks choose and serve those ads, and they use their own cookies and policies to do so. Our Privacy Policy explains how to manage your choices.
We do not create, review or endorse the ads you see. Whatever an advertiser promises is the advertiser's responsibility, and any purchase or agreement you make with an advertiser is between you and them.
Our guides point to outside sources such as research bodies, exercise databases and strength organizations. We include them to help you read further, not because we control or vouch for them. Once you leave our site, that site's own terms and privacy practices apply, and we are not responsible for what you find there.
We work hard to keep the content accurate and the tools working, but the site is offered “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise that it will be free of errors, interruptions or harmful components, or that any calculator result will suit your particular body, lift or goal.
To the fullest extent the law allows, OneRepMaxLab and its owner are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on what is on it. That includes injury, lost data, lost opportunity, and indirect or consequential harm, even if we were told such harm was possible.
Strength training carries real risk, and the choices you make under the bar are yours. You use this site at your own risk.
As the site grows, these terms may change. When they do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If you keep using the site after an update, it means you accept the new version, so it is worth checking back now and then.
